What YSA does

The academy runs weekly classes, competition teams, elite training and school holiday camps across the Lower North Shore and the Hills District, from beginners through to representative players. In one parent's words, "there are no egos, no politics that ruin it for children."

Our coaches

Bevan De Vries is the Head of YSA Basketball. Laurie Fleming, an NSW Basketball coach with Norths Premier League and Youth League experience, leads YSA coaching courses and helps design rep-level training. Julian coaches at YSA camps.

Where YSA plays

Teams compete in the Norths Basketball Competition and the Hills Hornets competition. YSA has also entered the Hoops Capital Youth League with the Sydney Kings, and travelled to Melbourne for the Nunawading Spectres Tournament.
